Welcome to the Taldryan Codex. This Codex is a collection of information mostly pertaining to Clan Taldryan and its history. It is sponsored by the Consul and Proconsul of Taldryan to assist members of the Brotherhood and give them training and knowledge far beyond the Shadow Academy. This training includes a Clan-intensive look at the Brotherhood, with an emphasis on learning the history of Taldryan so you can appreciate your Clan and truly feel like a Taldryan-ite. These documents also offer a look at the Brotherhood, in a more easy-to-understand manner than that of the Shadow Academy.

The Codex is made up of a series of Chapters and Sections on different topics. These chapters will most likely help you on a future Clan Course to come at the Shadow Academy. I know you probably have two questions right now, 1) What will I get from the Codex and 2) What good will it to me to read through all of these documents?

What does this Codex offer?

These documents will not train you in the use of the gaming platforms; you will get plenty of that in your House and during the Gaming Days. Nor are we going to teach you other skills such as web design, because that information is available in the Shadow Academy. What we do offer is knowledge, that of Clan Taldryan and the Brotherhood. You will learn the ins and outs of the club you are a part of, what all the abbreviations you see everywhere mean, as well as other useful information, like what a Great Jedi War really involves and how to communicate with other Taldryan members. More knowledge and courses will be added as time goes on.

What do I get for doing this stuff?

First off, you will gain a much deeper understanding of Clan Taldryan. Those of us who have been around for a long time consider Taldryan more of a family than a Clan. This feeling is born of mutual competition and time spent together, as well as shared memories of the past. If you want to become a member of this family it is crucial that you have an understanding of the past. Taldryan's history is one of the richest and most celebrated of all the Clans, you should know it if you are going to be a member of the Clan. Remember our Clan motto," Clan Taldryan: A Brotherhood within a Brotherhood." For those of you who are still thinking, "Yeah, yeah...boring!" well I've got more for you. In addition to this, we also run periodic competitions which can ONLY be completed through use of the Codex (which will also get you medals). If those aren't good enough reasons to get you to read through the Codex...do it because your Consul says so!

If you so desire, you can be assigned a personal tutor to help you progress. They can also give you any extra info you need and help you get off to a really great start in your career as a Dark Jedi! Or if you aren't new to the Brotherhood or to Taldryan, they can point you towards interesting information you might not know!
